Celebrate the life of
your loved one

The Prostate Cancer Memorial is a touring remembrance sculpture dedicated to the men we’ve lost to prostate cancer. This webpage is designed for people who’ve purchased a name engraving on the memorial, to celebrate the loved one they’ve lost.  If you haven't purchased a name engraving on the memorial, learn more about The Prostate Cancer Memorial here.

Access this page to receive regular updates on where you can visit the memorial. You’ll also have the opportunity to build your unique virtual memory space via JustGiving, where you and your loved ones can pay tribute to the man you’ve lost by sharing special stories and memories. Prostate Cancer UK Researcher,
Dr Jennifer Munkley, is determined to help men like her Grandad

Dr Jennifer Munkley is one of our dedicated Prostate Cancer UK researchers working on developing much-needed improved diagnostic tests for prostate cancer.

“As a researcher, I’ve always wanted to do something that will make a real impact for men with prostate cancer. Sadly, in June last year, my Grandad was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. This news has been heart-breaking for me and my family, but it’s made me more determined than ever to keep fighting for men.”

Thanks to support from people like you, my research has progressed much faster than it normally would – we’ve already tested a prototype of the diagnostic test and used it on samples of men’s blood. The next step will be a clinical trial, which I think we can get to in just two years.”

“Unlike the PSA test, which is the best test we currently have, my blood test can accurately differentiate between low-risk prostate cancer and cancer that needs urgent treatment. This means it could eventually be used as part of a national screening programme for prostate cancer.”

By supporting Prostate Cancer UK in memory of your loved one, you’re helping to fund research like mine to get us one step closer to a national screening programme - thank you.
